Jeff Stovall


City of Charlotte

Mr. Stovall joined the City of Charlotte as its first Chief Information Officer in 2008. Reporting to the City Manager, he is responsible for leading enterprise technology and process improvement initiatives across the City’s federated IT structure. He was previously the director of IT merger integration planning for Sprint Nextel, responsible for leading multiple post-merger integration efforts. Mr. Stovall’s background also includes leadership positions in corporate transformation management, marketing, telecom product development, and industrial project engineering. In 2011, he was recognized by InformationWeek as one of the top 50 CIOs in local, state and federal government. Mr. Stovall received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
