Dr. Haynie holds a PhD in Operations Research and Masters in Statistics from the University of Alabama. His military experience covers aviation, special operations, and intelligence operations with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was heavily involved with the emergency response during hurricanes Katrina and Gustav coordinating the aviation support for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He is a principal consultant for Geocent addressing GIS interoperability issues at the federal and state level and was awarded an Small Business Innovative Research Award (SBIR) for developing a Open Source Common Operational Picture (OpenCOP) supporting the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill response. He currently serves in the Mississippi Army National Guard as the Intelligence Officer for the 66th Troop Command responsible for Homeland Security and Disaster Response.
